Responsibilities:- * Assist in preparation of effective work plans and labor budgets for approval by supervisor.
- * Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to satisfy client.
- * Oversee the work and productivity on assigned projects.
- * Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisor's approval.
- * Ensure all project work is performed and completed in accordance with QA/QC standards, systems and procedures as designated for project.
- * Review monthly labor and cost reports to ensure projects are being completed at the pre-established goal.
- * Assist with mentoring junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives.
- * Assist with the preparation for public hearings, meetings, and any other presentations in relation to current projects.
- * Work efficiently with the Billing Department to authorize and transmit bills to client. Follows up with clients for timely payments.
- * May oversee the activities of assigned staff, including but not limited to timesheet review and approval, performance evaluation and daily supervision.
- * Prepare production documents and conduct kickoff/team meetings.
- * Manage project scope, budget, and schedule.
- * Interpret ordinances and regulations to determine project impact.
- * Attend client meetings, bid openings, and construction meetings.
- * Review cost estimates for alignment with client budgets and goals.
- Qualifications:
- * Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering is required.
- * 8+ years of related engineering experience is required, preferably with municipal projects.
- * Professional Engineer license is preferred.
- * Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- * Ability to learn and apply technical skills and knowledge.
- * Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
