Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and transportation engineering projects from concept through construction.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, municipalities, regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractors.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, specifications, and other technical documentation.
  • Oversee permitting activities and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform or oversee hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling for sanitary, storm, and combined sewer systems using PCSWMM, HydroFlow, or comparable software.
  • Prepare or oversee Location Drainage Studies and Technical Memorandums for federally and state-funded projects.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
  • Support business development efforts through proposal preparation, client meetings, and presentations.
  • Attend client meetings and coordinate project activities throughout all phases of design and construction.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience managing municipal and/or transportation engineering projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain licensure within 12 months.
  • Demonstrated experience managing roadway, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water distribution, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as PCSWMM, HydroFlow, or comparable programs.
  • Experience preparing Location Drainage Studies or Technical Memorandums for federally or state-funded projects.
  • Strong understanding of municipal design standards and regulatory permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting schedules and budgets.
