VPG Construction is a high-performance commercial General Contractor based in New Orleans, LA — small by design, sharp by culture, and growing fast. If you're tired of big-firm red tape and want to work somewhere that values speed, trust, and quality, we should talk.
Why Join VPG?

What you'll do:
Lead multiple commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants from bid to build.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, scopes of work, and budgets.
Prepare and manage subcontractor contracts, COs, and buyout strategies.
Drive weekly project meetings and update stakeholders on progress.
Lead RFIs, submittals, permitting, and inspections to ensure no delays.
Ensure all work meets contract specs, safety standards, and company quality benchmarks.
Mentor APMs and assist in field coordination with superintendents and subcontractors.
Drive team alignment by actively coordinating APMs, Admins, and Superintendents to eliminate silos.
Track and manage project KPIs, including gross margin, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Implement proactive risk mitigation strategies and adjust plans as needed.
Oversee contract compliance for both prime and subcontractor scopes.
Contribute to the improvement of company processes and best practices in construction.
Requirements:
5-7+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
Demonstrated success managing $2M+ projects (ground-up or major TI).
Proficient in Procore, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Bluebeam.
Strong financial acumen: forecasting, cost tracking, and margin protection.
Expertise in reading plans, specs, and contract documentation.
Skilled communicator — able to speak confidently with clients, city officials, and field staff.
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and focused on results.
Bonus Experience:
Experience in retail, office, medical, or light industrial construction.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
