Project Manager

Global Financial Firm located in NEW YORK, NY has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Project Manager

Pay Rate: $84.00 - $89.00 Negotiable based upon years of experience

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: New York, NY

Responsibilities:

• Lead the full lifecycle of a system replacement project, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Facilitate Agile and Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and user stories.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
• Prepare and maintain progress reports, tracking project metrics against milestones.
• Enforce robust project management practices and ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum standards.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and promote open communication.
• Ensure all project deliverables adhere to corporate compliance and regulatory policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of professional project management experience in a financial services or regulated environment.
• Proven track record of leading system replacement or software migration projects.
• Deep practical knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Proficient in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Visio, and MS Office applications.
• Bachelor’s/University degree required.

Preferred Skills:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification strongly preferred.
• Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP, or Safe) are highly desirable.
• Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• AI knowledge and practical experience highly desired.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, diplomacy, and negotiation skills.
• Master’s degree preferred.
