The Manufacturing Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of capital investment projects and major maintenance initiatives within a cable or wire manufacturing environment. This role will lead facility expansions, equipment upgrades, and large-scale maintenance turnarounds while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and without compromising safety, quality, or operational performance. The position will serve as the technical and project leadership bridge between Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Finance, and external partners.

Lead CAPEX projects from feasibility studies and scope definition through budgeting, execution, installation, and commissioning.
Develop project charters, schedules, cost estimates, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
Assess aging manufacturing assets and perform ROI analysis to determine repair versus replacement strategies.
Lead procurement, installation, and integration of new manufacturing equipment, automation, and process technology.
Coordinate facility expansions, structural projects, utility upgrades, and plant layout improvements.
Work with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to optimize plant floor layouts and material flow.
Plan and execute plant shutdowns, equipment overhauls, and large-scale maintenance projects.
Develop detailed schedules and contingency plans to minimize production disruptions.
Source, evaluate, and manage contractors, equipment suppliers, and service providers.
Ensure third-party work meets company standards, safety requirements, and applicable building codes.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to improve throughput, reliability, and waste reduction.
Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
Coordinate emergency facility repairs and strategies to minimize production interruptions.

Minimum of 5 years of experience within a cable or wire manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated success managing capital projects exceeding $500,000.
Experience managing manufacturing equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
Experience with facility expansion, plant layout, utilities, and major maintenance projects.
Strong understanding of project financials, including capital justification, P&L impact, budgets, and cost variance tracking.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Finance.
Strong contractor, vendor, and equipment supplier management experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools.
Experience with MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent project management software.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Strong negotiation, project planning, organization, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of manufacturing safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
