Job Title: Project Manager
Location: North Reading, MA
Duration: 12 month contract
Payrate: $75 to $90 per hour.

Job Description:
Client is seeking a contract Project Manager to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects involving system-level test equipment for semiconductors. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading global, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-technology environment. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to provide structure and direction amid evolving requirements and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Lead product improvement projects focused on the cost, reliability, and performance of large, complex capital equipment.
• Manage evolving requirements and shifting priorities, providing structure and clarity while maintaining project momentum.
• Align cross-functional contributors across engineering, operations, manufacturing, and field service to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, risk-management frameworks, and performance metrics that promote transparency and accountability.
• Manage project budgets and resource allocation and support a seamless transition of released designs from development to manufacturing.
• Anticipate risks, identify critical-path dependencies, and implement proactive mitigation strategies to protect schedules, budgets, and company commitments.
• Drive accountability across project teams and facilitate timely, effective decision-making at all organizational levels.

• Bachelor s degree in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Five years of project management experience in product development, preferably within the semiconductor equipment or broader high-technology equipment industry.
• Demonstrated success managing cross-functional projects with globally distributed teams.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Client Project and Client Excel is required; experience with additional project management and reporting tools is preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience communicating with management and customers.
• Ability to adapt quickly to ambiguous or changing requirements and guide teams through uncertainty.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
