Project Manager - Oil & Gas Field Services

We are looking for a Project Manager to oversee oilfield service projects supporting wellhead, valve, torque & test, production, and completions operations in a field service environment. This role owns project execution from planning through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule while serving operators and energy clients. AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client that provides specialized oilfield services throughout active drilling and production regions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, building client relationships, and supporting continued growth across multiple field service projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple oilfield service projects from initial planning through final completion while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, field supervisors, and internal operations teams throughout each project.
• Develop project schedules, allocate personnel and equipment, and adjust resources to meet changing operational demands.
• Monitor field activities involving wellhead services, valve work, torque & test operations, production support, and related oilfield services.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal crews to ensure efficient execution and timely project delivery.
• Track project costs, labor utilization, equipment usage, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure all work complies with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable safety regulations.
• Identify project risks and resolve field issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain client satisfaction.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and closeout documentation for leadership and customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience within the oil and gas industry.
• Experience managing field service, production, wellhead, completions, or related upstream oilfield projects.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple active projects while balancing schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
• Experience working in a field service, contractor, or service company environment is required.
• Strong understanding of oilfield operations, equipment, and field safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience working directly with customers and field personnel.
• Must have direct ownership of project execution; candidates whose experience is limited to administrative support or project coordination alone will not be considered.
