We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Project Management Office (PMO)
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and closure of medium to extra-large complexity projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing projects across Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies, along with excellent stakeholder, vendor, resource, risk, budget, and change management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects through the full project lifecycle.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resources.
- Manage project budgets, risks, issues, changes, and dependencies.
- Coordinate project teams, agency resources, SMEs, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Manage vendor relationships and vendor deliverables.
- Develop project status reports and PMO dashboard metrics.
- Implement project change-management practices.
- Identify and remove project blockers and escalate issues when required.
- Perform gap analysis and root-cause analysis.
- Facilitate meetings and group activities involving multiple stakeholders and independent parties.
- Provide recommendations and actionable guidance to support successful project outcomes.
- Ensure project activities and deliverables comply with applicable federal, state, and agency requirements.
- Manage contract processes from initiation through closure.
- Ensure projects remain aligned with organizational strategy, mission, and goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience as a Project Manager managing complex projects.
- Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Project (MS Project).
- Understanding and practical application of PMI PMBOK standards and practices.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management experience.
- Experience with project budgeting, resource management, risk management, and change management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong experience with project planning, monitoring, coordination, and control.
Work Location Requirement:
- Candidate must be able to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK at least 3 days per week.
- Additional onsite presence may be required based on project needs.
- Candidates must be comfortable with this onsite requirement.
Preferred Profile:
Candidates with public-sector/government, healthcare, or state-agency project management experience are highly desirable, particularly those accustomed to PMO governance, compliance requirements, vendor management, and large/complex implementations.
Important: This is a Project Manager position. Candidates should have demonstrated hands-on ownership of project delivery and lifecycle management rather than primarily BA, Scrum Master, coordinator, or administrative PMO experience.
