Responsibilities:
  • Execute comprehensive policy audits and gap analyses to ensure alignment with regulatory standards
  • Establish a policy inventory and design strategic prioritization matrix to streamline ongoing updates and revisions
  • Architect and deploy an electronic policy review process to modernize workflows and improve efficiency
  • Construct policy framework that is consistent, compliant, user-friendly and fit-for purpose
  • Design and embed long-term governance systems to ensure all policies, frameworks, and workflows remain sustainable, scalable, and manageable over time
  • Train, educate, and align employees at all organizational levels on company policies
  • Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the People Governance and Leadership Development team
 
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years' experience.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Strong understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws (including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO regulations) and compliance infrastructure
  • Risk Mitigation: The ability to identify and remedy potential liabilities or gaps within policies and procedures
  • Policy creation and governance: Proven ability to build policy framework
  • Technical Writing: Expertise in drafting language the mitigates enterprise risk while maintaining accessible, culturally aligned messaging
  • Analytical and Audit Competencies:
    • Gap Analysis and Risk Auditing: Experience conducing comprehensive audits on policies, procedures, and handbooks to identify regulatory non-compliance, operational contradictions, and operational inefficiencies
    • Workflow Synthesis: The ability to audit current operational practices and workflows and translate them into formalized, fit-for-purpose Standard Operating Procedures
  • Execution and Change Management:
    • Stakeholder alignment: competency in partnership with legal counsel and leadership to vet policy changes and secure buy in
    • Change Enablement and implementation: Understanding of how to roll out updated handbooks and policies organization-wide
  • The ability to effectively train the workforce on existing policies and policy changes at the executive leadership, management, and staff levels.
  • IT systems that will be used:
    • Contractor must have a computer, cell phone, and access to reliable high-speed internet - Access to Knowledge Base, HR Shared Drive, HR SharePoint (shared documents relevant to People Team)
