Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager (Program Management) for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will lead manufacturing strategy, program feasibility, and launch planning for new vehicle programs, ensuring alignment across engineering, tooling, and production teams.
Rate Range: $42/Hour to $48/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Project Manager (Program Management) Job Responsibilities include:
Define manufacturing strategy and process plans for Body-on-Frame vehicle programs, ensuring alignment with product and plant requirements.
Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing Architecture, and cross-functional teams to assess design feasibility and optimize manufacturability.
Utilize Teamcenter, VisMockUp, AutoCAD, and Power BI to analyze product designs, identify interferences, and drive cost, quality, and labor improvements.
Lead program cost estimation, budgeting, and financial tracking including LLF calendarization and checkbook management through key approval milestones.
Drive issue resolution for assembly, tooling, and equipment challenges using structured problem-solving tools (PFMEA, 3-Legged Why, SCCAF).
Support new model launches by coordinating tooling, facilities, and program timelines, ensuring production readiness and successful execution.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, Systems Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience in manufacturing/program management).
3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, program management, or vehicle launch environments.
Hands-on experience with Teamcenter, AutoCAD, and cross-functional collaboration to assess manufacturability, feasibility, and production readiness.
Proven ability to manage complex manufacturing programs, including cost tracking, issue resolution (JIRA/MS Project), and leading initiatives across tooling, assembly, and production teams.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $48.00 per hour
