Our Transmission & Distribution Global Practice is looking for a Project Manager to support our Oklahoma City Office. The Project Manager is responsible for leading a diverse team of stakeholders from multiple entities in the successful delivery of complex projects, from inception through final close-out, including the development and implementation of processes, procedures, strategy, execution plans, resource planning, risk management, and reporting tools. The Project Manager will lead the team in a dynamic and profitable manner based on Burns & McDonnell's core values of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety and overall outstanding service.
Lead the development and execution of overall strategic business initiatives to achieve goals and objectives provided by the client or Burns & McDonnell.
Provide leadership to the Project team; direct and coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team and ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilization of staff.
Responsible for management of Project budget and expenditure of funds.
Achieve stated targets and standards for the Project financial performance.
Present monthly financial information to leadership including project revenue forecasts.
Support strategies for cross-selling engineering services across the organization.
Attend bi-weekly team coordination and monthly stakeholder meetings.
Support monthly reporting requirements by assessing project risk, program status, and coordination with controls team for schedule and financial updates.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in engineering, construction management or related degree from accredited program and 7 years applicable experience.
Applicable years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Prior experience on construction project sites or executing program management in the industries of aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
