Description

Due to continued growth, the company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee public and municipal construction projects throughout the Chicago area. The ideal candidate will have experience managing contracts, schedules, budgets, and stakeholders on publicly funded work.

A well-established Chicagoland general contractor with a strong reputation in the public sector. The company specializes in municipal, educational, infrastructure, and government-funded projects and has built its business on repeat client relationships and long-term partnerships.

Description

  • Manage public and municipal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Lead owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings
  • Review contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Track project financial performance and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with public bidding requirements and prevailing wage regulations
  • Coordinate project teams and maintain strong client relationships

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a general contractor
  • Proven public, municipal, education, or government project experience
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling and financial management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
