Commercial Construction Project Manager
Our client is a respected commercial builder specializing in retail, restaurant, and hospitality construction projects throughout the Southeast. Job Description
- Manage all phases of ground-up retail, restaurant, and QSR construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls
- Lead subcontractor procurement, buyout, and contract administration activities
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, franchise representatives, and subcontractors
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, and project documentation
- Monitor project performance and proactively mitigate schedule, budget, and quality risks
- Oversee project financial reporting, forecasting, and cost management
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Partner closely with Superintendents to ensure efficient field execution and resource allocation
- Ensure projects comply with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations
- Manage project closeout activities, punch list completion, and client turnover
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners

The Successful Applicant
- 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Proven experience managing ground-up retail, restaurant, or QSR construction projects
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls
- Experience managing subcontractors, contracts, and change orders
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
