Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of pool construction and major renovation projects. This role manages budgets, schedules, subcontractors, materials, and customer communication from project kickoff through final walkthrough. The Project Manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to company quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution
Oversee multiple pool construction and renovation projects simultaneously
Develop project timelines and coordinate scheduling with field supervisors and crews
Review project plans, specifications, and contracts prior to project start
Conduct pre-construction meetings and job site kickoffs
Monitor job progress and proactively address delays or challenges
Budget & Cost Management
Manage project budgets and track job costs
Approve material purchases and subcontractor invoices
Monitor labor hours and productivity
Identify cost overruns and implement corrective measures
Maintain profitability targets for each project
Field Coordination
Work closely with the Pool Field Supervisor to ensure proper execution
Coordinate subcontractors (excavation, plumbing, electrical, gunite, tile, decking, etc.)
Ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time
Perform site visits to verify quality and schedule compliance
Quality Control & Safety
Ensure all work meets company standards and local building codes
Verify inspections are scheduled and passed
Enforce safety standards across all job sites
Client Communication
Serve as primary point of contact for customers during the project lifecycle
Provide regular updates on progress and timelines
Address change orders, scope modifications, and client concerns
Conduct final walkthrough and project closeout
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate project documentation
Prepare progress reports for leadership
Manage change orders and contract adjustments
Coordinate permitting and inspection processes
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High school diploma required; construction management or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in pool construction or construction project management
Prior leadership experience managing crews or subcontractors
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of pool construction processes and systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
Budgeting and cost-control experience
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office
Certifications (Preferred):
Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
OSHA 10/30
Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements
Ability to visit and walk active construction sites
