You will work directly with clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and other Bushman team members while taking ownership of the overall success of your projects.WHAT YOU'LL DOEstimating & PreconstructionReview drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements.Prepare estimates and develop project budgets.Solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing and ensure complete bid coverage.Conduct bid walkthroughs and follow up with subcontractors regarding scope and pricing.Scope and level subcontractor bids.Assist in preparing proposals and budgets for clients.Identify constructability issues and potential project risks before construction begins.Project & Site ManagementIndependently manage one or multiple commercial construction projects.Travel to project locations and provide onsite leadership as required.Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, schedules, deliveries, and inspections.Monitor construction progress, quality, schedule, and safety.Review and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting notes, change orders, plan revisions, and other project documentation.Maintain current project information and ensure subcontractors and team members are working from the latest documents.Ensure compliance with building codes, safety requirements, project specifications, and company standards.Communicate directly with clients and resolve project issues professionally and efficiently.Financial ManagementUnderstand the complete financial scope of each project.Manage project budgets, commitments, subcontractor costs, and profitability.Prepare and negotiate change orders and project extras.Review subcontractor pricing and negotiate contracts as appropriate.Track and submit owner billings, change orders, and credits in a timely manner.Work with our accounting team to ensure accurate project billing and cost management.Take ownership of project financial performance from start through final closeout.Project CloseoutManage punch lists and completion of outstanding work.Obtain required closeout documentation from subcontractors and vendors.Complete project closeout manuals and turnover documentation.Resolve outstanding change orders, credits, and financial items.Maintain client relationships through successful project completion.Client Relationships & Business DevelopmentOur Project Managers are an important part of maintaining and growing our client relationships.Build strong relationships with existing clients, subcontractors, architects, and industry partners.Identify potential future opportunities through existing relationships and project contacts.Represent Bushman professionally in the marketplace.Help demonstrate the capabilities and value of the Bushman team to current and prospective clients.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWe are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership and operating independently.The ideal candidate will have:5+ years of commercial construction experience in project management, field management, estimating, or a combination of these roles.Demonstrated ability to independently manage commercial construction projects from start to finish.Strong estimating skills and the ability to bid commercial construction projects.Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, change orders, and project documentation.Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, sequencing, and building systems.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% throughout the United States.Ability to work evenings or weekends when project schedules require it.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Experience with Premier construction management software is a plus.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus, but relevant construction experience is more important.Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, accountable, comfortable making decisions, and capable of running their work without constant direction.TO APPLYIf you are interested in joining an experienced, collaborative construction team where you can take ownership of your projects from estimating through completion, we would like to hear from you.Please submit your application using the link below.Bushman Construction Management, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.AI may have been used during the recruiting process.
