Our client is a dynamic Queens-based architecture and design firm. Their diverse portfolio spans hospitality, retail, and entertainment venues, many of which have been featured in national media.

Description:
Our client is seeking a Project Manager | Studio Director to provide both project leadership and operational oversight for their growing design studio. This is an ideal opportunity for an interior design professional with strong project management experience who enjoys balancing creative project delivery with studio leadership and business operations.

In this role, you will oversee projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring schedules, budgets, staffing, and client expectations are successfully managed. As Studio Director, you will be responsible for weekly and monthly resource planning, assigning staff across projects, monitoring team utilization, and working closely with the firm's leadership, CFO, and accounting team to help maintain project profitability and efficient studio operations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and proactive, with a strong understanding of project financials and resource management. You should be a confident leader who can mentor staff, build strong client relationships, improve workflows, and help drive the overall success of the studio.

Required:

  • 10+ years of project management experience within an interior design or multidisciplinary design studio
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, financial tracking, profitability, and resource allocation
  • Experience managing projects from concept through installation or completion
  • Proven ability to lead teams, coordinate workloads, and manage studio operations
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Design, or a related field

Salary:

  • $150,000–$190,000 annually
