Our International Telecommunications Client is looking for a Project Manager to work in their Northern New Jersey office.
Project Manager –Switchgear
As a core member of our switchgear team, you will be responsible for the continuous management of electrical distribution projects, ensuring on-time delivery of custom panelboards and switchboards.
This is a full-time, in-office position requiring daily collaboration with sales, engineering, and production teams to move projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities- Customer Lifecycle Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, securing all technical data required for deliverables and providing regular updates on project status.
- Technical Integration: Review customer-provided engineering or concept drawings for technical accuracy before facilitating the formal hand-off to the engineering department.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Synchronize internal efforts between Sales, Engineering, and Production to ensure manufacturing schedules align with customer deadlines and equipment specifications.
Qualifications- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- Professional Experience: 2-4 years of Project Management experience within electrical equipment manufacturing, electrical distribution, or electrical contracting environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to read and interpret general 2D/3D drawings, RFQs, and complex engineering specifications to provide technical input for project estimation.
- Industry Knowledge: Relevant experience managing and estimating projects specifically related to electrical distribution equipment and infrastructure.
