Job Summary
The Project Manager will support the Florida Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (Florida PALM) implementation initiative. The selected candidate will work closely with the Commerce Liaison (CL) and Change Champion Network (CCN) to manage readiness activities, track project milestones, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure successful transition to the Florida PALM system.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create, manage, and maintain Commerce's internal readiness workplan.
  • Track project timelines, milestones, readiness activities, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with the Commerce Liaison (CL), Change Champion Network (CCN), and agency stakeholders.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project documentation, status reporting, and readiness tracking.
  • Participate in Florida PALM project meetings, readiness touchpoints, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Maintain project progress within Smartsheet and other project tracking tools.
  • Ensure agency-wide readiness and successful adoption of Florida PALM.
  • Support change management and transition-related activities.
  • Assist Commerce in understanding and meeting milestones established by the Florida PALM Project team.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience managing large-scale enterprise, ERP, or agency-wide projects.
  • Experience with Florida PALM Project or similar ERP/financial system implementations.
  • Knowledge of Florida PALM implementation timeline and Readiness Workplan.
  • Strong Project Management, stakeholder management, and organizational readiness experience.
  • Experience with Change Management and transition/adoption initiatives.
  • Experience creating and maintaining project plans, workplans, status reports, risk logs, and readiness tracking.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in multi-platform environments.
  • Experience using Smartsheet and other project tracking/reporting tools.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
·PMP Certification required.
  • Public sector or State Government experience Is a plus
  • Experience supporting finance, accounting, ERP, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
