Job title: Project Manager

Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist with statewide expansion planning and implementation for Uninsured Adult Healthcare Safety Net providers, ensuring alignment with Rural Health Transformation Program goals.

Provide strategic direction to support providers in scaling services, expanding capacity, and improving access for uninsured adults in rural and underserved communities.

Assist with program operations, workflows, and timelines to ensure efficient delivery of expansion activities across multiple provider sites.

Ensure full compliance with federal award requirements, reporting standards, performance measures, and fiscal guidelines.

Develop, monitor, and manage program budgets, contracts, and funding allocations related to expansion activities.

Collect, analyze, and report program data to track progress, identify gaps, and drive evidencebased improvements.

Build and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, state agencies, and other stakeholders.

Prepare and submit required federal and state reports, progress updates, and documentation for audits or program reviews.

Recommend and implement policies, procedures, and system improvements to strengthen the Safety Net infrastructure and ensure sustainable growth.

Present program updates to executive leadership, boards, legislative bodies, and community forums.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to lead complex, multiyear public health programs with clear vision and strategic direction.

Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, and milestone tracking.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences.

Ability to lead stakeholder engagement efforts and maintain positive, trustbased relationships.

Skilled in presenting program outcomes, policy updates, and strategic recommendations to leadership and external partners.

Understanding of public health systems, primary care, specialty care workflows, and rural healthcare delivery.

Strong customerservice orientation for supporting clinicians and rural providers.

Ability to manage sensitive situations with diplomacy and professionalism.

Commitment to equity, access, and improving health outcomes for underserved communities.

Education and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, healthcare management, nursing, public policy, business administration, information systems, or a related field.

A master's degree in public health (MPH), health administration (MHA), public policy, or a related discipline is preferred and may substitute for some experience requirements.

Demonstrated experience (typically 3 5 years or more) in public health program management, healthcare operations, clinical program coordination, or management of healthtechnology initiatives.

Experience leading multistakeholder projects involving health systems, rural clinics, or community-based organizations.

Background in grant-funded program administration, including reporting, budgeting, compliance, and federal or state program requirements.

Experience with telehealth, specialty care coordination, or technologyenabled providertoprovider services in or with rural or underserved populations is highly desirable

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, and be able to work under pressure.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other applications as needed.
