Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the temporary (up to 1 year), full-time position of Project Manager, Transit Infrastructure in the Planning and Customer Engagement division of Halifax Transit.

The Project Manager, Transit Infrastructure is accountable for delivering key objectives of Halifax Transit by managing the implementation of strategic capital improvements and fostering innovative ways to ensure public transit is integrated into communities in livable and productive environments. More specifically, the Project Manager, Transit Infrastructure will be responsible for leading/coordinating transit garage expansions and redevelopments to facilitate the transition to an electric bus fleet, transit terminal designs and recapitalization projects and planning initiatives to support the implementation of the Rapid Transit Strategy, which includes the introduction of both bus rapid transit and the proposed expanded ferry service.

WORK STATUS: Temporary, Full-Time
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 35 hours per week. Additional hours may be required to meet project requirements, including the attendance of evening or weekend public meetings.
SALARY: Non-Union Level 6, $72,370 to $93,650. Salary will be determined based on relevant experience and qualifications related to the specified pay band and job. Placement above the midpoint of the pay band is typically reserved for candidates who significantly exceed the minimum qualifications, such as those with exceptional experience, specialized skills, or demonstrated achievements relevant to the role. This ensures fair and consistent compensation practices across the organization.
WORK LOCATION: TD Building (1791 Barrington Street - 12th Floor). Work location can be changed according to operational requirements.
