Description
Project Manager – Underground Wet Utilities
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in underground wet utilities and heavy civil construction. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects involving water, sewer, storm drainage, and related underground utility work from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Manage underground utility projects from contract award through completion
Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams
Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirements
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation
Track project costs, production, and overall profitability
Coordinate material procurement and project resources
Work closely with superintendents and foremen to ensure projects stay on schedule
Identify and resolve project issues quickly and effectively
Maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships
Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
Qualifications
3+ years of Project Management experience in underground utilities, wet utilities, or heavy civil construction
Experience with water, sewer, storm drainage, and underground utility installation
Strong understanding of underground construction means and methods
Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
Experience with project scheduling, budgets, change orders, and cost tracking
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with construction management software preferred
