Project Manager – Underground Wet Utilities

We are seeking a Project Manager with 3+ years of experience managing underground wet utility construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main installation and be comfortable balancing office responsibilities with an active presence in the field to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage underground utility projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Oversee schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and material procurement.
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, and field personnel.
  • Maintain a strong field presence to monitor production, quality, safety, and project progress.
  • Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Track project costs and ensure profitability.
  • Support Superintendents and field teams to resolve project challenges.
  • Ensure all work meets project specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer on underground wet utility projects.
  • Experience with storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main construction.
  • Strong understanding of excavation, utility installation, testing, and municipal specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software is a plus.
  • Ability to split time between the office and active construction sites.
