Project Manager (Utility Construction / Ftth)

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing field operations for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications. The Field Project Manager collaborates closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to coordinate execution, remove obstacles, and drive project success.

The expected annual salary for this position is in the range of $90,000 - $120,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.

This position also plays a key role in capturing field change orders, supporting accurate billing, and ensuring revenue opportunities are realized.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Take full ownership of assigned projects from award through closeout
• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and profitability
• Lead internal crews and subcontractors
• Coordinate project activities with municipalities, utilities, customers, and permitting agencies
• Identify, document, and negotiate change orders
• Monitor production metrics and develop recovery plans as needed
• Review job costs and proactively address budget impacts
• Track project revenue and ensure timely billing
• Manage customer expectations and maintain positive client relationships
• Conduct regular project status meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with workforce planning and resource allocation across multiple projects
• Support business growth through operational excellence and client satisfaction

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Have 5+ years of utility, telecommunications, underground construction, or FTTH experience
• Have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Understand cost tracking, forecasting, budgeting, and project profitability
• Have experience leading crews, subcontractors, and vendors
• Can effectively communicate with customers, municipalities, and utility representatives
• Are highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Have strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Can read and interpret construction plans, utility drawings, permits, and contracts
• Are proficient with Microsoft Office and project tracking software
