Your impact

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of utility-scale gas power generation and energy infrastructure projects from concept development through detailed design and execution. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their strategic objectives, develop holistic solutions, and guide projects through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and operational readiness phases.

You will manage all aspects of project execution, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and resource management while leading multidisciplinary engineering and design teams across multiple geographies. Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, you will provide technical and strategic guidance related to project development, technology selection, design optimization, and execution strategies.

In partnership with Jacobs' global delivery teams, you will leverage technical expertise and innovative digital capabilities to deliver high-quality solutions that create lasting value for clients. You will also support business development activities by building strong client relationships, identifying opportunities, contributing to strategic pursuits, and helping secure new work across the Energy & Power market.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to anticipate challenges, proactively manage risks, communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, and provide leadership throughout all phases of project delivery.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of design, consulting, operations, or project delivery experience supporting utility-scale gas power generation projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering and design project execution, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and resource management.
• Proven ability to develop strong client relationships, identify opportunities, win work, and successfully deliver value-driven solutions.
• Demonstrated experience supporting strategic planning, project development, feasibility assessments, and concept-level development for utility-scale power generation projects.
• Experience developing and utilizing design optimization programs and technical evaluation methodologies to support sound project decision-making.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills, including technical report writing and client-facing presentations.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and globally integrated project teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience serving in Owner's Engineer, Technical Advisor, Due Diligence, EPC, contract management, or project development roles.
• Experience leading utility-scale gas power generation projects through multiple stages of development and execution.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, OEMs, owners/developers, lenders, regulators, or other stakeholders within the utility power generation market.
• Experience with project exploration, strategy development, and business case evaluation for power generation opportunities.
• Familiarity with advanced generation technologies and energy transition initiatives.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across planning, engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and evolving trends within the power generation and energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of utility market drivers, power generation economics, and infrastructure development processes.
• Passion for advancing innovative, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions.

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

134,500.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

180,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $134,500.00 to $180,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
