Position Description

\n

Planet Partnerships is recruiting a Project Manager to support the delivery on projects funded by USTDA, MCC, and other multilateral development bank / development finance institution clients. The role will ideally be performed from the United States with an international portfolio and team.

\n

\n

Planet Partnerships is seeking an entrepreneurial and self-motivated problem solver with the capability to manage and oversee interdisciplinary experts on complex projects. Our work in this portfolio is largely focused on cross-sector infrastructure and critical minerals project preparation, transaction advisory, market analysis, institutional capacity building, blended finance, investment due diligence, and enabling environment reform. Primary responsibilities will include the following:

• Support the delivery of client engagements for USTDA, MCC, and other clients, including work planning, budgets, schedules, deliverable quality, and client support and reporting.
• \n
• Coordinate interdisciplinary expert teams across finance, economics, law, engineering, and related fields to deliver multi-country assignments and work products.
• \n
• Contribute to analytical deliverables spanning project preparation, transaction advisory, market analysis, feasibility studies and sector assessments, institutional capacity building, blended finance, investment due diligence, and enabling environment reform.

• Serve as a client counterpart, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment on project objectives
• \n
• Build and maintain relationships with US and international advisors, implementing partners, and clients.

Candidate Qualification

\n

As a result, we are looking for talented problem solvers and well-rounded professionals who have both a deep and broad interest in and understanding of sustainable economic development. Our preferred qualifications for this position are:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, investment, economics, law, or business. Master's degrees in a relevant field are highly regarded.
• \n
• 5 to 10 years of experience with a leading advisory firm, government agency, MDB/DFI, financial institution, or other relevant organization.
• \n
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and interdisciplinary teams, ideally on U.S. Government funded projects.
• \n
• Self-starter who can work independently, take ownership of outcomes, and thrive in fast-paced environments with demanding yet rewarding projects.
• \n
• Strong analytical, critical, and strategic thinking abilities. Excellent research and communication experience and skills
• \n
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time and task management skills.
• \n
• Effective in working across time zones and within international contexts.
• \n
• Fluent spoken and professional writing skills in English.
• \n
• Fluency in Spanish will be considered favorably.
• \n
• US citizen or green card holder.
