Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading complex infrastructure support engagements involving multiple concurrent tasks, large technical teams, client relationships, staffing, budgeting, performance management, and continuity-of-operations requirements. The role combines contract and personnel management with substantial enterprise infrastructure and network-security knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

·   Manage complex infrastructure support contracts composed of multiple separate and concurrent task assignments.

·   Plan, budget, staff, monitor, and control individual task assignments and overall contract performance.

·   Develop and use performance metrics to analyze staffing, requirements matching, and hiring.

·   Manage client relationships and resolve contract, development, and personnel issues.

·   Oversee recruitment, hiring, development, supervision, performance management, and salary administration activities.

·   Manage help desk and infrastructure support operations, including large teams of technical employees.

·   Provide on-site corporate decision-making authority as required.

·   Oversee enterprise server, operating system, firewall, router, switch, telecommunications, SAN, and NAS support activities.

·   Manage continuity of operations (COOP) programs, including risk assessment, alternate operating facilities, planning documents, testing, training, and exercises.

·   Oversee the operation, maintenance, enhancement, and security of local and wide area networks.

·   Ensure effective administration of network security protocols and applications.

Requirements

·   6 years of experience in client relations, working closely with clients to resolve contract, development, and personnel issues.

·   5 years of experience developing performance metrics that provide detailed analyses of staffing, requirements matching, and hiring.

·   5 years of experience managing infrastructure support contracts, including at least 1 year managing a minimum of 50 employees, with full responsibility for recruitment, hiring, development, and supervision.

·   5 years of experience managing infrastructure support contracts composed of multiple separate and concurrent tasks, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and control of each task assignment.

·   5 years of experience with server hardware installation and repair; UNIX/Linux and Windows installation and administration; enterprise firewall support; router and switch support; telecommunications; and SAN/NAS support and administration.

·   5 years of experience managing continuity of operations (COOP) requirements and programs, including risk management, alternate operating facilities, COOP planning documents, testing, training, and exercise programs.

·   5 years of experience administering current and evolving technologies used to operate, maintain, and enhance local and wide area networks.

·   5 years of experience building and maintaining complex networks.

·   5 years of experience administering network security protocols and applications.

·   3 years of experience in salary administration.

·   3 years of experience with corporate on-site decision-making authority.

·   3 years of experience managing help desk contracts, including at least 1 year managing a minimum of 50 employees, with full responsibility for recruitment, hiring, development, and supervision.
