Job Overview:
APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking a project manager/senior level scientist on a part-time basis for their Wichita, Kansas office to participate in a variety of project management and support tasks, such as oversight and direction of staff conducting operation and maintenance activities for remediation systems, installation of remediation system components, environmental site investigations, and groundwater monitoring activities. Provide expertise and instruction to staff during execution of project work associated with the above-referenced activities. This position will be in an office environment but will also require travel to client facilities approximately 30% - 50% time to provide direction and oversight of the above-described activities; this travel would be mostly regional in nature.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
+ Directing staff in completion of various work scopes, while working within project schedules and budgets.
+ Provide expertise and instruction to staff during execution of project work.
+ Work as a project lead to direct staff in completion of project tasks.
+ Coordinate and manage activities associated with specified project work.
+ Interface with client personnel at a facility level.
+ Communications with subcontractors and vendors.
+ Time management to ensure a quality product is prepared to meet project deadlines.
+ Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in a core science (such as geology, chemistry, physics, or biology), engineering, or related area required.
+ Related work experience of 10+ preferred.
+ Environmental remediation system operations and maintenance experience.
+ Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
+ Must have strong organizational skills.
+ Strong computer skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, and ability to learn other software applications.
+ Must be willing to work in the field and travel to complete work.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $50-$70 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
