Technical Project Manager (Development Background)
Duration: 18 Months (Potential for Full-Time Opportunity)

Employment Type: W2 Only
Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who comes from a software development or engineering background.
This is not a traditional PM role. The ideal candidate should have previously worked as a developer or technical lead and be comfortable understanding application architecture and, when necessary, contributing technically.
The environment consists entirely of internally developed (home-grown) applications, so experience managing custom software development is essential.
Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on implementing or managing third-party/vendor software (SAP, Salesforce, Workday, etc.) will not be the right fit.
This position will lead technology initiatives, coordinate development teams, manage business expectations, and ensure successful project delivery while maintaining application stability, scalability, and risk controls.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
8+ years of overall IT experience
5+ years of Technical Project Management experience
Strong background in Software Development or Engineering
Previous hands-on development experience is required.
Comfortable stepping in to review or assist with technical implementation when necessary.
Experience managing the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Strong understanding of:
Application Architecture
Data Flow
ETL Processes
Logging & Monitoring
Reporting Platforms
Experience working in environments where applications are built in-house from scratch.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong risk management and problem-solving abilities.
