Job Description

Plans, manages, and coordinates projects activities to ensure initiatives and timelines are met. Partners with management to design system-wide community and hospital-based health education project plans requiring assessment, research and analysis. Manages implementation of project plans and evaluates outcomes.

 

Partners with management to define project goals,
objectives, target initiatives, timelines and budgets. 

Plans, organizes and
directs operational and administrative activities in support
of the program/project. 

Establishes
work plan and staffing for each project phase and arranges for recruitment or
assignment of project staff.

Manages
activities of project staff to ensure project progress on schedule and within
budget.

Prepares
project assessment, analysis, reports and recommendations.

    • Interfaces
      with management to collect financial, statistical and operational data for analysis.

    • Develops and monitors reporting processes in compliance
      with the project requirements.

    • Conducts research, identifies
      industry standards and new innovative practices for analysis.

    • Presents analysis and
      recommendations to management.  Obtains
      feedback and collaborates with management to develop project improvement plans.

    • Prepares financial
      analysis and identifies budgetary impact of proposed recommendations.

Manages
implementation of project plans.



  • Partners with
    management to implement project initiatives.
  • Designs staff and community
    education programs and coordinates implementation, participates in
    educational initiatives, as needed.
  • Monitors project
    plan performance and prepares status reports.
  • Confers with
    project staff to provide technical advice and resolve problems.

Evaluates
effectiveness of project plans.

  • Develops tools and
    metrics to evaluate performance of target initiatives.
  • Collects data for review
    and analysis.
  • Prepares analysis
    and reports for management.
  • Prepares additional recommendations and adjustments to plan, as
    needed.

Develops
an effective intra-disciplinary communications process within the department
and across the health system. 



Performs related duties, as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field, required.  Master’s Degree in Public Health preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible related experience, required.
  • Experience with Social Media and Writing / Editing, preferred.
  • Strong project management, interpersonal and communication skills, required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, required.
