Project Planner and Quality Assurance Specialist

Electrosoft Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Planner and Quality Assurance Specialist to support a major DoD customer program at Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, IL. This position will manage project scheduling activities in collaboration with the Government and Contractor Team. The planning and quality functions are critical to mission success because of the intricacies associated with each system and location's unique authority to operate, assessment timelines and schedules, system sizes and complexity, types of authorization sought, and other factors.

The successful candidate will apply sound project-planning, quality-assurance, and cybersecurity-program practices. The candidate may use Government-approved automation and generative artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to improve the efficiency of schedule development, status tracking, document-quality reviews, action-item management, and reporting. All AI-assisted outputs must be validated by the responsible individual before use, dissemination, or incorporation into program deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Program Management Office (PMO) in the development and maintenance of the Microsoft Teams Channel Planner, workflow automation, and status updates.
• Serve as the lead in preparing and maintaining schedules for the PMO responsible for Risk Management Framework (RMF), Assurance Operations, System and Application Scanning, Zero Trust Policy, and DevSecOps activities.
• Develop and maintain the Program Integrated Master Plan/Schedule associated with the entire project lifecycle, from project initiation through project closeout.
• Integrate program-management, engineering/development, operations, cybersecurity, and related activities into the master plan.
• Establish schedule logic, predecessors, successors, dependencies, milestones, and critical paths for program activities.
• Develop, update, and maintain schedule-performance metrics, processes, dashboards, and management tools, including critical-path analysis and schedule-risk assessments.
• Use approved automation and generative AI tools, when authorized, to assist with:
• Drafting routine status reports, meeting summaries, action-item logs, and schedule narratives.
• Identifying potential schedule conflicts, overdue actions, dependency gaps, missing status updates, and emerging delivery risks.
• Summarizing project data and supporting preparation of leadership-ready dashboards, briefs, and read-ahead materials.
• Conducting preliminary quality reviews for completeness, consistency, formatting, traceability, and alignment with established templates or checklists.
• Improving the efficiency of task tracking, workload analysis, and follow-up coordination.
• Validate all AI-assisted analyses, recommendations, summaries, and draft products for accuracy, completeness, security, and appropriateness before submission or distribution.
• Advise the Program Manager and key stakeholders on schedule performance, forecasts, resource constraints, and risks.
• Support completion of deliverables, including coordination of due dates, dependencies, action items, and stakeholder inputs.
• Work closely with line managers to monitor workloads and balance assignments to help ensure adequate resources are assigned to tasks; provide timely notice to the Government of potential delays.
• Assist with tracking the status of checklists and packages from submission through approval or disapproval by the Action Officer.
• Support follow-on actions, including coordination to resolve data anomalies, ticketing issues, and other identified discrepancies.
• Identify, negotiate, and help resolve conflicts among stakeholders in the master planning and scheduling process.
• Participate in program reviews and prepare schedules, evidence, and supporting materials for schedule surveillance and audits.
• Assist with quality assurance of contract deliverables, including review against established requirements, standards, templates, and acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of repeatable planning, quality-control, automation, and AI-assisted workflow processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications

• Strong schedule-analysis skills and demonstrated experience developing and maintaining integrated project schedules.

• Strong knowledge of program and project-management principles, practices, and tools.

• Experience coordinating activities across multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.

• Knowledge of critical path method, schedule dependencies, schedule-risk analysis, and schedule-performance reporting.

• Experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Planner, or similar tools for tracking, managing, and visualizing tasks and plans of action and how to leverage AI to make these applications work more efficiently.

• Familiarity with workflow automation, data visualization, dashboard development, or AI-assisted productivity tools is preferred.

• Ability to use generative AI tools responsibly to support drafting, analysis, summarization, and quality-review activities while maintaining human judgment and accountability.

• Ability to assess AI-generated content for factual accuracy, relevance, completeness, bias, security concerns, and alignment with program requirements.

• Good written and oral communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with personnel at all professional levels.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to manage time and meet strict deadlines.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstrated record of producing high-quality work.

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree, or higher, in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, project management, or a related field.

• Relevant years of experience may be substituted when a candidate does not possess a bachelor's degree in the required field.

• Must possess an 8140 compliant certification before hiring, such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA A+, SSCP or an equivalent qualifying certification\

• Minimum of an active Secret clearance.

• Required onsite work at the client location at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, with limited telework availability as authorized by the customer and program requirements.

The employee may use only Government- or company-authorized AI and automation tools in support of assigned duties. The employee must comply with all applicable security, privacy, records-management, contractual, and data-handling requirements. AI tools will support-not replace-professional judgment, quality control, Government direction, or required human review and approval.

Pay Range

$75,000—$85,000 USD
