Project Procurement Specialist II

The Project Procurement Specialist is accountable for the coordination of procurement and contracting activities required to deliver a successful project strategy within their assigned scope of work. The Project Procurement Specialist is accountable for providing procurement input to the project or category contracting strategy, provide sourcing and the execution activities to deliver a project scope area. The role requires a collaborative One Procurement relationship with the project team, procurement, category management and any inventory and logistics members of the team.

•Works with the Category Manager and Projects Team to deliver project sourcing and rigorous contract management within their assigned contracting/contract management activity. This work takes place in multiple procurement technology platforms (Ariba and SAP).

•Provides procurement expertise to projects during planning and execute stages. Often, multiple projects are managed at a time.

•Coordinates execution of the procurement plan for their assigned scope of work (s) and manages procurement for safe, cost effective and competitive project contracting solutions; including regular progress reporting

•Executes supply chain risk assessment and mitigation for project contracting within their scope

•Provides category management with inputs to enable effective supplier management activities and supports supplier management activities as required by the Category Teams,

•Ensure supplier diversity requirements are met in execution of assigned contracting activity.

•Complies with UGI Procurement Controls Policy and Code of Conduct.

•Other activities as directed by Category Manager/lead.
