Job Description:
The Climate Pledge team is looking for a Data Management Specialist to support data operations for Client's sustainability reporting program. This person will define and build metrics within internal systems, drive end-to-end data collection campaigns, manage escalations, and coordinate closely with controllership to ensure data accuracy and auditability. Working directly with reporting leaders, the ideal candidate takes direction effectively while also operating with a high degree of independence-owning their workstreams, proactively identifying gaps, and driving resolution without oversight. This is a detail-intensive, execution-focused role. The right candidate will bring exceptional attention to detail, strong database management experience, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent data workstreams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Define, configure, and maintain metrics within internal reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and alignment with reporting requirements
- Drive end-to-end data collection campaigns across cross-functional teams, tracking progress and ensuring timely completion against reporting deadlines
- Manage escalation workflows for data gaps, discrepancies, and non-responsive stakeholders, driving issues to resolution
- Coordinate closely with controllership teams to support data validation, audit trails, and control processes
- Maintain and enhance database structures, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and appropriate documentation
- Work directly with reporting leaders to execute on data strategy, taking direction while independently owning day-to-day execution
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and data dictionaries for reporting workflows
- Support reporting tool workflows, including data preparation, reconciliation, and quality assurance checks
- Proactively identify and communicate data quality issues, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Manage stakeholder communications related to data requests, status updates, and timeline adherence
- impacting reporting timelines. Adding this resource ensures on-time delivery across our reporting program through the contract term.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in data management, information systems, business, sustainability, or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in data management, database administration, data analysis, or related practices
- Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of maintaining high data quality standards
- Experience working with relational databases, data management platforms, or enterprise reporting systems
- Ability to take direction from leadership while independently managing workstreams and driving tasks to completion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate data issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deliver in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Fluency in tech-driven productivity and collaboration software applications and tools, with an ability to quickly learn new applications and tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in controllership, internal audit, or audit-adjacent data management roles
- Knowledge of Workiva or similar enterprise reporting platforms
- Experience in sustainability reporting, sustainability data management, or corporate responsibility programs
- Experience with data governance frameworks, data quality methodologies, or master data management
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a large, global enterprise environment
Top 3 Must Have Hard Skills
- Workiva- Enterprise reporting platform (Something similar)
- Database management (2000+ data points going into any given report)
- Excel- VOOKUP, Pivots
- ESG or Sustainably (someone from finance would work)
- Frameworks (General sustainability reporting)
