Job Description:
  • The Academic Research Initiatives (ARI) team is looking for an experienced project/program manager to help drive impactful research programs. This role will work across multiple internal teams including leadership, science, product, marketing, and legal, as well as directly interacting with external researchers to enable cutting-edge research.
  • Successful candidates should have excellent organization and communication skills, and experience with business analytics or data organization, management and reporting. They should be able to ensure that large-scale projects run efficiently and effectively, developing roadmaps and schedules for the program, driving delivery, reporting status, and holding the bar on program quality.
Key project responsibilities:
  • Support scaling external research calls-for-proposals/grant making programs
  • Coordinate with award recipients and Client's points-of-contact (POCs) to collect and disseminate project information to stakeholders and management
  • Coordinate workflows including payments and legal contacts
  • Drive organization of data and research proposals across the ARI's to support the launch of two new ARI initiatives a science repository and a new CRM with custom proposal management
  • Support new CRM build
  • Leverage data analytics skills to organize data, support metrics reporting and influence the build of team dashboards
  • Coordinate collection of research insights and outcomes
  • Continuously improve research program processes to make them more solid and efficient
  • Contribute to the academic outreach efforts across ARI programs internally and externally

  • Continuing Salesforce custom implementation (Events object buildout, integration testing with Pulse/QuickSuite/ClientScience Repository)
  • Data migration and integrity management
  • Dashboard development and reporting automation
  • User adoption, training, and documentation
Task Breakdown and Workflow:
  • 40% - Salesforce build/configuration (objects, dashboards, automation rules, integrations)
  • 25% - Data management (migration, cleaning, validation, ad-hoc data pulls, report builds)
  • 20% - Stakeholder engagement (twice-weekly stakeholder meetings, requirements gathering, UAT facilitation, training)
  • 15% - Documentation and reporting (SOPs, tutorials, progress reports)

Years of Experience:
  • Experience managing Salesforce custom implementations (admin or project lead )
  • Ability to run stakeholder meetings, gather requirements, and drive UAT cycles
  • Comfortable with data migration, data cleaning, and reporting/dashboards
  • Strong documentation skills (SOPs, user tutorials)
  • Ability to manage integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems; work with others on our tech team
Performance Indicators:
  • Successful delivery of quarterly Salesforce milestones on time (integration launches, data migrations, feature deployments) with 100% stakeholder adoption of new features
Degree/ Certification Requirements:
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (desired, not required). Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (information systems, business, data management) or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in business, business analytics, engineering, program/product management preferred.
What background does someone have that is successful in this role:
  • Someone with a Salesforce administration or consulting background who has led custom implementations end-to-end, ideally in a research, academic, or program-management context.
  • They should be comfortable owning a roadmap, working directly with stakeholders, and context-switching between technical build work and communications/training
