Job Title: Project Scheduler - Industrial Construction

Job Description

As a Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for reviewing and developing comprehensive project schedules from plans and specifications. This role involves incorporating all necessary information, such as budgeted dollars, quantities, labor resources, and integrating subcontractor and vendor schedules for the delivery of services, equipment, and materials. You will continuously update and revise the schedule to reflect actual progress, delays, or other impacts, ensuring the project stays on track.

Responsibilities

• Review and develop project schedules from plans and specifications.
• Continuously update and revise schedules to reflect actual progress, delays, or other impacts.
• Develop and maintain project cost code framework and schedule WPS, cost and resource-loaded schedule.
• Regularly develop reports for management review, including detailed cash flow, hourly shutdown and outage schedules, weekly quantity reports, and SPI, CPI, EV, and manpower reports.
• Advise the Superintendent and Project Manager regarding subcontractor and vendor performance.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of project scheduling experience.
• Proficient in Primavera P6.
• Experience in industrial construction.
• Resource loading experience.
• Experience with large projects, preferably in the commercial sector.
• Knowledge of project controls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum of four years of relevant construction experience, preferably within the heavy industrial sector.
• Proven ability to track field progress and generate SPI, CPI, EV, and manpower reports.
• Understand and value industry and safety standards.
• Ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams as well as independently.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management software such as Procore or Power BI.
• Ability to travel extensively and temporarily reside at the project site for extended periods.

Work Environment

This position is based on a large-scale industrial build in East Alton, IL, with a project duration of two years. The scheduler will be on-site daily, working Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm. The project requires 6-day workweeks, with 10-hour days. The site includes 4-5 other employees working collaboratively, and you will have your own scheduler on the project team. The role offers travel subsistence pay and travel incentive bonuses, with travel home provided every other weekend.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
