Job Title: Project Scheduler - Industrial Construction

Job Description

As a Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for reviewing and developing comprehensive project schedules derived from plans and specifications. Your role will involve integrating all necessary details, such as budgeted dollars, quantities, labor resources, and subcontractor and vendor schedules for the delivery of services, equipment, and materials. You will be tasked with continuously updating and revising schedules to reflect actual progress, delays, or other impacts, including starts, finishes, remaining durations, quantities installed, and associated costs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost code framework and schedule WPS, cost, and resource-loaded schedules.
• Regularly generate reports for management review, including detailed cash flow, hourly shutdown and outage schedules, weekly quantity reports, and SPI, CPI, EV, and manpower reports.
• Advise the Superintendent and Project Manager regarding subcontractor and vendor performance.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of project scheduling experience.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Experience in industrial construction.
• Experience in resource loading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum of four years of relevant construction experience, preferably in the heavy industrial sector.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management software such as Procore or Power BI.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Experience tracking field progress and generating SPI, CPI, EV, and manpower reports.

Work Environment

The project is a $200M peaker plant located in Wheatfield, IN, and is expected to last for two years. The Project Scheduler will be required to be on-site daily, working Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm. The workweek typically consists of six 10-hour days. The team includes 4-5 other employees, and collaboration with another scheduler on the project team is expected. Travel may be required, with travel home provided every other weekend.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Alton, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
