    Project Scheduler - Planner in Houston, TX

    • Contract role with hybrid work arrangement (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in-office, Wednesday and Friday remote/work from home)

    We're seeking an experienced Project Scheduler/Planner to support complex engineering and construction capital projects. If you have a strong background in project scheduling, project controls, and Primavera P6, and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success, we'd love to hear from you.

    What You'll Do:

    • Develop and maintain Level 3-5 resource-loaded engineering and construction schedules.
    • Establish schedule baselines, critical paths, dependencies, constraints, and milestones.
    • Ensure project schedules align with company Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) standards.
    • Prepare schedule basis documents and planning/scheduling status reports.
    • Analyze project performance and recommend schedule recovery and corrective actions.
    • Facilitate interactive planning sessions with project teams and stakeholders.
    • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, accounting, and third-party contractors to collect and analyze project data.
    • Monitor project progress, costs, and schedule performance throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Support commissioning and startup schedule development.
    • Assist project leadership in prioritizing work and making informed scheduling decisions.
    • Recommend improvements to planning methods, scheduling processes, and project controls.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
    • 10+ years of related experience (15+ years considered in lieu of degree, where applicable).
    • Strong understanding of project scheduling fundamentals, including critical path methodology, resource loading, baselines, and schedule analysis.
    • Experience supporting complex engineering and construction projects from planning through execution.
    • Field experience is highly valued.
    • Experience executing high-risk capital programs or projects across multiple asset types.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary project teams.
