• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 12 months (with strong potential for extension and conversion)
• Pay Rate: $16.00 $53.35 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Days (First Shift); Mondays and Tuesdays onsite. Candidates who need to attend job walks on other days should notify their manager in advance and may skip the mandatory onsite days (Mondays and Tuesdays).
• Interview Process: Virtual, one round.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for scheduling Substation Programs projects (100 150 projects), each under $25M, with some level of complexity, and able to document delays to provide time impact analysis. The position requires direct involvement in tasks necessary for successful project execution, identifying problems and solutions, and collaborating to establish project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, and deliverables. An effective communicator is essential, as data gathering will include many groups and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule Substation Programs projects (100 150 projects), each under $25M, with some level of complexity, and document delays to provide time impact analysis
• Develop schedules and incorporate schedules already in use for some parts of each project
• Demonstrate expert-level proficiency with master integrated schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and calculating earned values
• Provide direct involvement in tasks necessary for successful project execution
• Identify problems and solutions
• Collaborate to establish project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, and deliverables
• Utilize project controls in exercising schedule management, forecasting, performance monitoring, such as variance analysis, maintaining schedules and project plans, identifying trends, and assessing performance against schedule targets
• Organize and drive actions to resolve issues immediately or bring them to PM for action
• Gather data from many groups and contractors as an effective communicator
• Travel to job sites on an as-needed basis (generally less than once per month)

Required Skills

• Proficient in Primavera P6; 7 years' experience in scheduling and capital projects/construction
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Visio) and SAP
• Excellent communication skills; must be able to communicate clearly and engage with stakeholders at senior levels
• Experience in Project Management, Construction, or Project Controls
• Expert-level Primavera P6 skills, with 5 7 years' experience
• Strong understanding of construction activity sequencing

Preferred Skills

• Utility experience; Substation utility experience is a plus
• Construction management experience
• Prior substation construction experience is highly preferred

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or construction management (required)
• Professional credentials preferred: PSP, PMP, or an advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate)

Required Experience

• 7 years' experience in scheduling and capital projects/construction
• 5 7 years' expert-level Primavera P6 experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Hybrid schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays onsite
• Able to travel to job sites on an as-needed basis (generally less than once per month)
