Description

This position is a key contributor within the Structural Division, responsible for managing and delivering structural engineering projects that integrate vibration analysis and machine learning applications. The role involves advanced design and analysis, project management, and significant client interaction, ensuring all structural components meet the highest standards of quality, budget, and schedule. Additionally, the position emphasizes technical innovation and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties
·                   Expand the company’s business line in industrial structural applications related to vibration and machine learning.

·                   Perform advanced structural analysis and design, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

·                   Act as a technical liaison for clients, providing expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

·                   Prepare, review, and approve design calculations, technical reports, and project documentation.

·                   Conduct and coordinate site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.

·                   Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and engineering teams for coordinated project execution.

·                   Provide informal guidance to junior engineers, promoting technical growth and efficiency. Implement quality control protocols to maintain safety and performance standards.

·                   Manage structural components of projects, meeting design, budget, and schedule requirements.

·                   Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of industry trends and innovations.

·                   Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.

·                   Support the development of company standards and procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
·                   Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited school

·                   6+ years of structural engineering and project management experience, including at least 3 years in industrial applications.

·                   Professional Engineer (PE) license in AR and OK or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

·                   Ability to acquire an OK Structural Engineer (SE) license within 2 years.

·                   Advanced proficiency in structural analysis/design software (e.g., RAM Elements, RISA, STAAD).

·                   6+ years of experience using Revit for structural design; Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit Structure preferred.

·                   Full professional proficiency in English (Cambridge C1 or IELTS 6 or higher).

·                   Comprehensive understanding of commercial and industrial building construction, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

·                   Strong leadership skills and the ability to instruct junior engineers.

·                   Practical construction experience, including methods, layout, and materials.

 

Technical Skills
·                   Structural Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, RAM Elements, Navisworks, Mathcad, and IES Structural Analysis Software.

·                   Programming: Expertise in Python, Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Latex, Dynamo BIM, Revit API, TensorFlow/Keras, Scikit-learn, and SQL.

·                   Structural Engineering Knowledge:

o         Design of foundation and retaining structures, including buoyancy effects, retaining walls, lateral soil loads, spread footings, and piles.

o         Reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structure design, including water-retaining

structures.

o         Seismic and high wind area design.

o         Advanced structural analysis, dynamics, and Finite Element Methods.

·                   Applied Mathematics:

o         Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), Fourier and Wavelet transforms, transient analysis, regression, and model selection.

o         Clustering and classification methods (e.g., SVM, k-means, classification trees).

o         Neural networks, deep learning, Dynamic Mode Decomposition (DMD), Koopman Operator Theory, and Sparse Identification of Nonlinear Dynamics (SINDy).
