Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day construction activities for healthcare facility projects, including renovations, expansions, and new construction.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, facility leadership, and project stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations, infection control requirements (ICRA, and healthcare construction standards.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, quality measures, and field productivity.
Resolve construction and operational challenges while minimizing disruptions to patient care and clinical services.
Conduct site inspections, oversee quality control, and ensure adherence to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement on all project sites.

Purpose:
Directs all activities required to successfully complete a variety of building and renovation projects throughout UPMC and its entities, including contract negotiations, administration, project estimates, scheduling and material acquisition. As the owner's representative at various construction sites, directs and coordinates the activities of trade groups and sub-contractors.
Responsibilities:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade school, Vocational-Technical or Union approve apprenticeship preferred.10 years of construction management experience is required including 3 years in front-line construction project management. Knowledge of hospital construction and healthcare equipment preferred. Ability to develop and monitor budgets for construction projects required. Good leadership, collaboration, communication and teamwork skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project with the ability to operate computerized building management systems and CMMS systems.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Must possess appropriate license or registration to meet code requirements, as needed.
