The Senior Project Support Specialist is a seasoned professional responsible for driving the operational efficiency and success of project execution across cross-functional teams. With over a decade of experience, this individual plays a critical role in supporting utility-based projects, regulatory compliance efforts, and high-stakes customer resolution initiatives. This position requires a blend of project coordination, risk management, quality assurance, and regulatory knowledge—essential for ensuring smooth project lifecycles and exceptional customer service outcomes in a high-volume environment.
Maintain and manage comprehensive project documentation including schedules, action items, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
Coordinate and track meetings, deadlines, and interdepartmental tasks to ensure timely project delivery.
Identify potential project risks, assess their impact, and recommend mitigation strategies in collaboration with the Project Manager.
Support resource allocation across projects and help resolve resource conflicts in fast-paced environments.
Own and resolve high-priority customer escalations (both residential and commercial) across all SouthStar markets via multiple communication channels.
Manage formal complaint processes, conduct root cause analyses, and implement process improvements to reduce repeat issues.
Facilitate clear communication between internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
Provide timely updates on project status, risks, and deliverables to ensure alignment across all parties.
Ensure project deliverables meet company, industry, and regulatory standards.
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and support audits or reviews.
Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and support financial reporting to maintain budget integrity.
Serve as a departmental liaison and backup across other functions as needed.
Support escalation analytics, KPI tracking, and reporting to leadership.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years in project support, coordination, or stakeholder engagement roles—preferably in the utility or energy sector.
Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Jira, Excel, and other PM tools.
