The Project Support Lead provides technical support for engineering and technical tasking in support of the DDG(X) ship acquisition Program Office.
Tasking includes: • Facilitates project success by managing daily operations, documentation, reporting, and team coordination • Bridge the gap between project managers and teams, ensuring adherence to plans, managing risks, monitoring budgets, and providing administrative support to maintain project momentum • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation, including project plans, risk logs, issue registers, and change control logs • Gathering project metrics from team members, compiling progress reports, and conducting budget tracking and trend analysis • Scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items • Serving as a central information hub for the project, assisting team members with project management tools and templates • Monitoring daily operational workflows, ensuring adherence to established best practices, procedures, and frameworks • Assisting in identifying, tracking, and mitigating potential risks or blockers
Compensation is anywhere from 90k to 140k annual salary based on experience.
Required Qualifications • Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance • Masters degree in business, management, or engineering field • 10 years experience with DoD acquisition processes, in DoD/Navy program management, Industry or Government technical management, or Industry or Government business management
Desired Qualifications Preferred areas of interest include integration of complex multifunctional devices, interface definition and verification, component and system level reliability/maintainability/availability, assessments of shipboard impacts, test case development and test program execution, requirements allocation, cost/benefit and life cycle cost analysis, and/or feasibility studies.
