Lead Preparation and Project Management
Lead preparation of detailed engineering calculations & analysis Complete design tasks within budget and on schedule Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and other project documentation Support the work of others and mentor junior-level engineers & design drafting technical staff Work directly when assigned with clients to determine needs and provide solutions
Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, or construction oversight based on project needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical engineering skills in the drinking water practice area, along with strong clear and concise written and oral communication abilities.
Key Skills and Experience
Exceptional technical writing skills are essential as is experience in preparing and reviewing project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
The candidate should demonstrate expertise in developing innovative project implementation solutions and have experience in growing and developing teams, including mentoring staff.
Collaborative problem solving and a design to work with diverse teams to solve complex problems is critical for success in this role.
Education and Experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering with a focus on drinking water Experience in design or consulting engineering or Municipal work environment Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study 10 years of relevant water/wastewater experience Project leadership experience, including managing overall project delivery expectations, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring Client management experience, including preparation and development of proposals and client relationship building Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.
