Role Description We are seeking a Project Water/Wastewater Pipeline Engineer to join our dynamic Water Business Line in Southern California. In this role, you will lead and support the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater pipeline projects for municipal, utility, and private sector clients.Role Accountabilities As a Project Water/Wastewater Pipeline Engineer, you will lead and manage the design and delivery of water and wastewater pipeline projects, encompassing feasibility studies, preliminary and final design, as well as construction support. You will be responsible for developing alignments, performing hydraulic calculations, and preparing detailed design drawings and specifications for water, sewer, and recycled water pipelines.Acting as a technical point of contact for clients, you will attend meetings and support business development activities. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams that include civil, structural, environmental, and construction management professionals. You will ensure that all deliverables meet Arcadis' quality standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering (or related discipline)6+ years of relevant experience in the design and delivery of water and/or wastewater pipeline projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) license in California, or ability to obtain within 6 monthsPreferred Qualifications Master's degree in civil or mechanical engineeringProficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., InfoWater, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS)Proven experience coordinating with public agencies, utilities, and permitting authoritiesExperience with trenchless technologies, condition assessment, and rehabilitation of pipelinesExperience supporting or leading construction administrationBackground in sustainability, climate resilience, and integrating digital tools (e.g., BIM 360, ArcGIS)Active involvement in professional organizations (e.g., ASCE, AWWA, WEF)Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging We want you to be able to bring your best self to work every day.
