Kforce has a client that is seeking a Proofreader in Phoenix, AZ. Summary: We are seeking a talented Proofreader to support the development and refinement of customer-facing communications. This role is ideal for a strong writer and editor who can transform complex information into clear, engaging, and effective messaging. The successful candidate will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure communications are accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand and editorial standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, edit, and enhance customer communications across multiple channels
  • Review content for grammar, accuracy, tone, clarity, and consistency
  • Collaborate with business partners to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand messaging
  • Ensure all communications adhere to established editorial guidelines and style standards
  • Tailor messaging to different audiences while maintaining a consistent voice
  • Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Support communication planning, documentation, and content-related process improvements
  • Provide quality assurance through detailed proofreading and content reviews

Requirements:

  • Experience developing and refining internal or external communications
  • Experience using SharePoint and other collaboration tools
  • Strong understanding of editorial best practices, including AP Style
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to content quality
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate complex business information in a concise and compelling manner
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting customer-focused communications initiatives
  • Experience with project coordination and content workflow management
  • Experience within financial services, banking, insurance, or another regulated industry
  • Background in communications, public relations, marketing, corporate communications, or content development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise, actionable messaging

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
