Position: Propane Technician/Tank Setter -  CDL 
Location: Cherry Creek, NY
Compensation: $26.00-$30.00 (based on experience and completion of training)
 
What We Are Looking For    
NOCO is seeking a Propane Technician/Tank Setter who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of propane systems for residential and commercial clients. The Propane Technician/Tank Setter requires a high level of technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and exceptional customer service skills.
 
What You Will Do
  • Perform propane hook-ups at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and repair propane tanks and systems.
  • Install propane tanks and/or assist with tank installations.
  • Deliver propane tanks to customer sites when needed.
  • Provide all customers with consistent, quality service in accordance with company procedure
  • Positively promote the company's products and services.
  • Assist other team members to achieve maximum success, safety, and efficiency.
  • Maintain the service truck with the appropriate parts inventory.
  • Skillfully maneuver the truck into loading and unloading areas.
  • Verify load against shipping papers and accurately deliver required products as dispatched.
  • Assist with loading or unloading of goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted.
  • Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to the office or other appropriate staff when the delivery route is complete
  • Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks and maintain a clean vehicle at all times
  • Maintain proper physical condition of vehicle and equipment; report problem areas to manager.
  • Operate within all industry, OSHA, DOT, and company safety rules and policies.
  • Operate under NFPA 54/58 standards

What You Will Need
  • High school education or equivalent
  • 21 years of age according to DOT requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in propane industry preferred
  • Able to possess or obtain CETP Certification
  • Class B License
  • Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements, preferred, but not required
  • Current Medical Certification, preferred, but not required
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations
  • Ability to plan delivery routes
  • Ability to maintain basic logs and records
  • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision
  • Able to remain professional and courteous at all times
  • Occasional periods of sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals/fuels or fumes
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions
