Position: Property Accountant


Location: Providence, RI


Salary: $75,000–$95,000 + Bonus

The Property Accountant's Responsibilities:



  • Prepare monthly financial statements for an assigned portfolio of commercial and/or residential properties

  • Complete month-end close including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and bank reconciliations

  • Review CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, and lease-related accounting

  • Partner with property managers on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

  • Assist with annual audits, budgeting, and process improvements while ensuring GAAP compliance


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in property or real estate accounting

  • Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations

  • Experience with Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or another property management ERP is a plus

  • Strong Excel skills with excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
