Title: Property Accountant

Salary: 65,000-80,000 + bonus

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Property Accountant Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare annual building budgets including revenue projections, operating expenses, and capital improvement programs
• Prepare monthly financial reports, balance sheets, cash flow analyses, and operating expense analyses
• Oversee cash management for all entities
• Prepare and maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts
• Prepare bank reconciliations and tenant CAM and real estate tax calculations
• Review, set up, and maintain property tenants in MRI
• Maintain knowledge of tenant leases including rent increases, options, special clauses, and letters of credit
• Prepare distributions and maintain priority return schedules
• Prepare annual workpapers and support external audits

Property Accountant Qualifications:
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Commercial real estate or property accounting experience preferred
• Experience with MRI or Yardi preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite in Boston
