Senior Accountant – Real Estate Portfolio Accounting

An established real estate investment and property management organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accounting operations across commercial and multifamily property portfolios. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with leadership while managing a diverse portfolio of real estate assets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned properties and portfolios.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.
Complete CAM reconciliations and other year-end accounting activities.
Assist with annual budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Collaborate with property management and operational teams to support portfolio performance.
Portfolio Opportunities
Commercial properties, including office, retail, and industrial assets.
Multifamily residential communities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of real estate accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with property management/accounting software; Yardi experience preferred.
CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus.
