Carlisle Residential is actively seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join our team as we continue to grow and expand our portfolio!
SUMMARY: Responsible for General Ledger and financial reporting for assigned properties. Assists Property Management staff with financial management and reporting activities. Must professionally represent and promote Carlisle Residential Properties in the community.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for accounting, reporting and analysis for assigned portfolio of properties to include overseeing A/P, A/R, G/L, Bank Reconciliations, G/L Account Reconciliation and Monthly Financial packages. Provide budget preparation assistance to Property Management staff. Duties include the following, other duties or additional properties may be assigned.
1. Monthly review and maintenance of the General Ledger for assigned portfolio of properties meeting required deadlines including but not limited to:
2. Produce monthly financial statements for assigned portfolio of properties meeting required deadlines including but not limited to:
· Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
· Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected financial position
· Reconcile reports
· Provide reports for management detailing issues and monthly financial results
3. Reconcile all Balance Sheets and Bank Accounts for assigned portfolio of properties monthly meeting required deadlines.
4. Coordinate General Ledger and Financial Reports with Property Management staff to ensure reports are accurate and timely including but not limited to:
5. Review Accounts Payable for assigned portfolio of properties including but not limited to:
6. Review accounts receivable for assigned portfolio of properties including but not limited to:
7. Responsible for reconciliation and maintenance of Escrow and Reserve accounts for assigned portfolio of properties meeting required deadlines.
8. Process capital reserve requests for assigned portfolio of properties accurately and in a timely manner.
9. Assist Property Management staff with budget preparation.
10. Must have full understanding of Carlisle Residential Properties, Inc. internal policies and procedures, making recommendations for updates and changes to maintain regulatory compliance and assist Carlisle Residential Properties, Inc. staying current with business practices.
11. Responsible for daily management of assigned responsibilities, meeting deadlines for all deliverables
12. Provide quality service to internal and external customers.
13. Assist with special projects and tasks when assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university and at least two year’s accounting/finance work experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS Computer experience to include in Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to obtain expert level skills using the Carlisle Residential Properties, Inc. in-house financial accounting computer system.
LANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, tax and governmental regulations. Ability to write detailed reports, business correspondence, and financial procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, vendors, and the general public.
ANALYTICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
