Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant / Staff Accountant to support full-cycle accounting for a growing portfolio of multifamily and commercial real estate properties.
This is a highly systems-driven position requiring strong, hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager 7S and/or 8. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate property-level financial records, supporting month-end close, ensuring data integrity, and managing accounting activities across multiple entities and property types.
Candidates with direct experience in both multifamily and commercial real estate accounting are strongly preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as a power user of Yardi Voyager 7S/8, maintaining accurate general ledger, tenant/resident ledger, and vendor information.
Set up and maintain properties, leases, chart of accounts, and related data within Yardi.
Run, review, troubleshoot, and audit Yardi reports, including:
Trial Balance
General Ledger Detail
Rent Roll
AR/AP Aging
Budget vs. Actual
Utilize relevant Yardi modules for commercial and multifamily properties, including Recovery/CAM, Job Cost, Fixed Assets, AP, and resident accounting functions.
Assist with Yardi upgrades, integrations, system improvements, and data migration validation.
Identify and resolve system and data discrepancies to maintain accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–5+ years of property accounting experience preferred.
Direct experience with both multifamily and commercial real estate accounting strongly preferred.
Advanced, hands-on proficiency with Yardi Voyager 7S and/or 8.
Strong knowledge of Yardi modules such as Recovery/CAM, Job Cost, Fixed Assets, AP, and property/resident accounting.
Solid understanding of GAAP as applied to real estate accounting, including accruals, straight-line rent, CAM recoveries, and fixed assets.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple properties, entities, and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with property management, asset management, accounting, and leadership teams.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification is a plus.
